Arlette retired in 2004 and from that time nature photography took a major place in her life. Already as a child she was interested in birds. She lived in St Cergue in the Jura mountains, and later in Nyon by Lake Geneva she always shared her spare time with birds and the local fauna. But it was only in 2004 that she purchased her first digital camera with a 500 mm lens which allowed her to take photographs of the smallest birds and those difficult to get close to. Her favourite moments are at dawn, when the light exposes nature in all its magnificence and when the birds start to sing. She now lives in the central Jura and contributes her photos to many Swiss publications.
